Who we are

Mama Lor is a family-owned and operated Filipino restaurant where we proudly serve a wide variety of traditional Filipino dishes, along with our own recipes of premium breads and cakes.

We were established by our family from Cebu, Philippines, with the heart to make every Filipino feel close to home—and to share our flavours, traditions, and hospitality with other nationalities.

We named Mama Lor after our beloved mother and grandmother, Lorie and Loryvi, who both shared the same passion: creating sumptuous dishes and desserts for the people they love. Their warmth and dedication continue to inspire everything we do.

We opened our pioneer branch in Rooty Hill, New South Wales on December 9, 2017, followed by our second branch in Werribee, Victoria on October 10, 2019.

Today, we continue to grow as a brand—and our mission remains the same: to bring people together through food that feels like home.

What we do

At Mama Lor, we celebrate the richness of Filipino cuisine through
time-honoured recipes, smoky charcoal-grilled dishes, and in-house baked breads and pastries—all made fresh daily. Every dish reflects the warmth of home and the comfort of tradition.

Whether you're craving a hearty meal or something sweet from our bakery, we’re here to serve flavours that bring people together. It's all about good food, shared memories, and that distinct taste of Filipino hospitality.

What our customers say about us

  • A bakery and a restaurant in one! I’ve been asking my Filipino friends where to go for a good local feed and a few have mentioned this popular franchise from Sydney. Aroma is an understatement, you can literally taste it with your eyes and nose.

    Mel B

  • Fantastic authentic Filipino food. The Cebu Lechon Belly was excellent. The pork was soft and juicy and so crispy on top.

    Leah O

  • The food was wonderful, a great place to enjoy with your family and Friends.

    Fernando S

  • No Filipino feast is complete without the crowning glory of lechon and Mama Lor did not disappoint.
